My interest in art began at the elbow of my father Albert, where as a child, I sat mesmerized as he dabbled in oils and pastels and mastered still life paintings. I fondly recall the monthly trips to the Brooklyn Museum where he played docent to my childhood inquiries. He inspired my lifelong passion for art and art history.
After raising a family, I returned to school to study Bio-Nutrition and counseled in nursing homes, senior centers, schools, and private clients.
I then enrolled at C.W. Post, Long Island University’s Appraisal Institute for a certification in art and antique appraising and completed over 100 hours of field study. I continued course study in the United States and Europe at museums including: the Metropolitan, Philadelphia, Brooklyn in New York; the Prado, Louvre, the Vatican and Uffizi in Europe. My research is ongoing and I am constantly thinking of enlightening new programs to bring to my audience.
In 1994, I completed a degree program in communications, graduating Summa Cum Laude and a member of Phi Theta Kappa.
I then made the decision to follow my lifelong interest in art to join the art lecture circuit. Encouraged by a professor, I developed an illustrated art lecture “Art Espoused To The Literature Of The Bible”. I was invited to present this program at Borders book store in Westbury, New York and at Port Washington Library on Long Island. My program was overwhelmingly received by persons of all ages, genders and ideologies and thus my final and most fulfilling career began.
I have developed over 25 art lectures thus far and have been invited to present my unique programs throughout the tri-state area and as far as North Carolina including an invitation to speak on radio station WCWP 88.1 FM; “My Life In Art”.
I truly love my profession and invite you to experience my shows which are art and theater. I hope that they inspire you to learn more about art, as I did from my father.
"I truly love what I do!"
